After spending a whole day and night with DD at the Red Chili hostel. The people at Red Chili started calling her Lucky DD as she is one of a few Congolese Dogs making her way out to Europe. Time was well spent with walks, chasing cats and locals. Eating the residents dogs food and chewing through her leash where some of her highlights.
I wan to take this post to thank the guys from Red Chilli hostel in Butambika, Kampala for allowing me to hang with DD for a night. Logistically things are hard as I wouldn't dare leave her alone in the room, with the fear of her eating some furniture or cushions.
She will now rest at Dr Alex practice(USPCA) for the following month where it is planned for her to get fattened before her sterilization. She has made friends with a young volunteer who comes by every morning to take her to walks and I saw DD's joy when she met the Dr and the young volunteer. It gave me peace that she is being cared for.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year DD.

Dora at Dr Alex Boarding Schoool in Kampala
Good Morning Blog Followers
DD ha struggled to eat the Uganda dry foods at the hotel. I know she is a princess who eats fresh left overs but I hear she is settling into eating the hard dry biscuits. I am sure Naila is an encouragement as she doesn't complain during dinner.
Excellent news DD is settling into Ugandan life at the Vets house. She apparently made friends with another dog called Naila. Apparently they take walks together and spend long nights talking to each other. I hope Naila is a she dog.

I am happy with DDs first boarding school experience, I hope her princess -ness will soften during her time at the boarding school. She has lost weight but I assume its the changes and the Dr assures me she is fine.
Good Luck Dora Dawg
We wish you a quick settling in time and great friendships that will last forever.

The Trip Begins
Greetings Fellow Dora Dawg followers.
Excellent news I have for you today Dora will be inbarking to Kampala Uganda tomorrow morning on a small aircraft. She will hopefully be met by Dr Alex who will house her at his clinic.
I want to take this post to say thank you to all who attended her farewell party yesterday. She was exhausted after playing with Sherlock and Joe. Also a grand thanks for the artistic goodbye notes on her Congo travel crate.
She will be staying in UGA until march awaiting a clean bill of health report before thinking of entering the UK.
Thank you so much for the dog lovers who have given towards her trip.
