Helps us send Dora home reported by Kristie

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Olav. He dreamed of having a dog but never had the opportunity. Instead of a puppy, he played with hamsters and fish. Birthdays would pass and that furry puppy never came.
Then one day in May 2012, twenty-nine year old Gab had the chance to live out little boy Olav’s dream and adopt two puppies. Sheepy and Dora Dawg were now a part of Gab’s little family. Due to some unknown illness, Sheepy died a few weeks later.

Dora Dawg was left abandoned on her own to endure little boy Olav’s silly-ness. She has worn clothes, went to GaboSalon to get her nails done, participated in bring-your-dog-to-work-day, received her own hiking backpack and doggy thong to help with that ‘oh so annoying’ time of the month so she could continue being little boy Olav’s cuddle buddy despite her unfortunate medical state.

Dora Dawg has mastered many tricks: she can sit, give high fives, play fetch, say “I love you,” break into the house, stay, and be the biggest party animal in Congo!
Gab is now facing a dilemma – fighting the forces of little boy Olav’s first pet love with Dora Dawg and the reality of leaving Congo, Dora Dawg’s only known home and birthplace. Dora Dawg can have her backpack packed, thong and all, and nails done ready to travel to the great Isle of England in two dog shakes; however, Dora Dawg needs to raise her passport fees first.

Dawg needs to go through an immigration process: medical checks, three months of quarantine in Uganda, and then the final purchase of her plane ticket. Little boy Olav and Dora Dawg are begging for your assistance. Even the Queen has her corgies, why shouldn’t little boy Olav have his Dora Dawg?

To make ends meet Doras has to work as a feet warmer
